"Dream big ladies! Our God 'is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine' (Eph 3:20)...We love our husbands, our children, and our lives we live, but... What do you wish you were free to accomplish in the Lord? And what stops you from feeling you are free to accomplish it?"

  1. I'm going through this right now! Our ministry is partnering with our new church plant to do a children's program at a local housing project everyday this week. Unfortunately my daughter isn't cooperating very well and I had to leave early yesterday because she kept throwing a fit (she IS only one so I'm not surprised). It was too distracting for the kids. We have no one available to watch her so I have to sit out on ministry. :(
But I know God is in control!

  2. I think women tend to shortchange ourselves, and do not dream big enough. We limit what God can do in our lives, as a result of us not having enough faith. We may think we can't do something, but God can do anything through us, and He wants to do great things!

  3. If I could accomplish ANYTHING... it would be to make sure that my children (& everyone else I know & love) are SAVED!! But, that is God's job & I need to just let Him work through me to hopefully reach their hearts!

  4. I'm totally going through this struggle right now. Actually, I have been for about 3.5 years now. I was in full time ministry before I had my kids. I grew up a church rat, so I have been in and around the church for so long. When kids came along, I saw and experienced the mission of the church so differently. I have a HUGE passion to help the church realign its Strategy to really partner with parents and recognize that what happens at home is way more important than what happens at church.

I cling to the scripture Nehemiah 6:3 “I’m doing a great work; I can’t come down. Why should the work come to a standstill just so I can come down to see you?”

My calling as a mom is "a great work." God can and will send me back into ministry when I'm suppose to. Whether its tomorrow or another 3.5 years from now, I serve a God that has called me to not forget "the great work" that is already before me. Sometimes that just means saying NO to things for a little while. I'm blessed to be a mom.

  5. I resonate with what so many of you are saying!! My hubby and I were missionaries until just a year and a half ago and being away from family, and now knowing people who can babysit is so hard as I remember feeling left out of ministry.

Now I am in a new phase of life and being a mom takes TIME, yes?? But I am thankful to get to partner with my hubby in ministry still, God is so faithful!! My ultimate dream is that My hubby and I can do ministry FULL time again together some day. My heart is for him to be able to do children's ministry and as I help him I would love to speak to women and teens.

Right now, for part of my dream, the timing just isn't right yet!! And for part of it, in order to survive financially my hubby has to work a full time job apart from what we do at our church. As I have cried out to God about how I can start helping out financially while still being home with my girls, I am so thankful he called me to step out in faith to start my own business online.

God really can do MORE THAN WE CAN IMAGINE. And if you ask him, he will make a way for the dream he has put in your heart to become reality. He is SO BIG!!

    I really Believe it!!

love to you my sweet friends!!

  6. One of the things I would love to do is to stay home and school my last two kids (ages 10 and 7). I feel my older two missed out on so much. I would like a "redo" with my younger two. But lack of finances keeps me from staying home, at least for now. I believe God can make a way.
