  1. I don't know if I made any mistakes...I didn't really know what I was doing. I am blessed to have contacted an older, wiser woman who gave me lots of tips. She always responded back to me and was oh so helpful.

  2. I think my biggest mistake was to forget why I originally wanted to write a blog. I originally started my blog to help other pregnant law students and to chronicle my pregnancy and life as a mother. sometimes I read old posts and think "why did I even write about that?" Sometimes the readership isn't as important as your being happy with what you're writing...

  3. Mistakes? I don't make mistakes! LOL! :o) Hmmm...I would have to say my biggest mistake was not blogging every day. I got out of the habit, and then realized I had not blogged for two months. I pretty much had to start over again this past June to establish a reader base. I regularly blog now, usually daily. Happy Tuesday! :o)

  4. Without a doubt, the biggest mistake I made was not updating enough. Blogging is like famereality--only we have less than 15 minutes. If I want to have a network of bloggers I create 'with', I need to update my posts. And frequently.

  5. I still consider myself a new blogger lol, but I think figuring out the linky tools was my oops. I posted some wrong links for sure.

  7. I've been blogging for a few years now and I still make mistakes! I love to get feedback about my blog and have a really great mentor that I shoot questions at.

  8. Originally, my blog was more of an online scrapbook and a way to keep in touch with (real life) friends and family... But, let's face it, not everyone finds my life, or my kid as fascinating as I do. ;) Honestly, it was boring and unfocused. It took me a while to find my "niche."
But, eventually, the focus and goal of my writing (and my blog) shifted...I wanted to encourage women to be joyfully content with the roles that God had called them to...and the blessings and trials that come with the territory of wife-and-mommyhood. :)

  9. I think it was throwing myself into it with reckless abandonment and then expecting people to come and read!Lol

I am learning how to pace myself and not expect too much from others in terms of reader reciprocation. (You know, "I read your blog, you read mine" mentality!)

  11. In my early days of blogging, I allowed myself to be influenced by other very well meaning people about who should host my blog, what I should write about, etc. It caused a lot of wasted time and back and forth nonsense!
