  1. Yes, if I could earn an income from my blog I would. Why? To supplement my income for the 'extras' and 'surprises' that always seem to come with life. How? I've been pondering that. :o) I would like to sell my self-drafted sewing patterns. It's a process in which I'm still perfecting. Happy Wednesday! :o)

  3. I would love my blog to produce an income and I'd put the money towards gas and expenses for our weekly Field Trip Friday and other family travel opportunities. I attended the Savvy Blogging Summit in Colorado last month and learned some ways to monetize include ads on your blog (if you get a decent amount of traffic) sponsors, selling items or a service and by finding affiliates that are a good match for your blog niche.

I'm in the process of writing an e-book and I'm also trying to put together a media kit so I can seek sponsors. I ran Google ads for awhile until I discovered one that was really not appropriate and contradicted my beliefs. I've also tried a couple different affiliates, but haven't found one that is a great fit.

  4. YES! I'm just learning how to do it now!!!
I downloaded THE BEST e-book (it was free too) yesterday and it has proven invaluable to this topic!!
If anyone is interested in making money from their blog they should definitely download this e-book. You can find it at

  5. Not sure about that one. If it were to support my husband's business than yes. But just for extra...no because I already have enough to do.

  6. I've debated about this for a while...If I could make an income, only supporting/advertising products or sites that I fully agree with...then maybe. I would only do it to supplement our adoption fund...As a fundraiser, or sorts, to help defray the costs of adoption paperwork, travel, fees (both domestic and international!). :)

  7. No, I don't think I would. First of all, I don't think I have time for it and I would also be really apprehensive about what kind of ads would be placed on my blog. Are they family friendly? My blog is mine and I want it to stay that way.

  8. I would love to make money from my blog! I'm going to Relevant10 to learn more about it. Even earning grocery money each month would be a help! I'm trying to increase my blog traffic before I approach businesses!

  9. This is one I am still finding a balance in. I did intend on making $$ off my blog at first, but am on the fence on it now. I am not willing to have my blog turn into a PR and Giveaway blog, I want to help people and bring a new light to Stay At Home Moms all over the world. I want them to find a safe place that uplifts, encourages, exhorts, and helps them in their day-to-day life. I had big dreams for my blog, and have a long way to go still. I want to do this just to do it, not to make money. YES the money would be great, but honestly, I don't want it to distract me from my content. I do however, plan on writing for more blogs/web-magazines to earn some income as I get rolling, but as for now, I am happy blogging daily and not making a physical dime.

  10. I used to have a t-shirt business, and it was super successful!!! However, it began to control my life. I know "everyone" is doing this - but I'm leery to start something again.

    Great question!

  11. I am not sure. I never intended to. I would like to learn more about advertising on my blog. This does spark an interest in me. Even if it would only pay for one tank of gas per week/month. Every penny helps :)

  12. I'm not really sure!! "Extra money" is always nice, but I really want others to know that I am not blogging for the money! Right now I just blog to encourage other mommies... maybe someday God will lead me to earn a little something through ads or something!? I just don't know!

I also wanted to say thank-you to Stephanie for sharing! I always enjoy reading your posts! So true that we need to seek HIS face, step our in faith & be willing to take risks.

  13. It would be a blessing if my blog could bring in an extra income. Not sure how I would go about it. Not sure I like the ad thing, unless I could control what would go there. I've thought about getting a sponsor or two, but I think you need a Zillion followers for that.
