A New Mission Field.

We have heard lots of ideas about how we in the church and in the family can help our kids know Christ personally.

Now we want to bring a different question to light.  In 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 Paul talks about how he has become all things to all people so that by all possible means He might save some.

Only 4% of my (Steph) generation believes the Bible, what means can we as women online use to reach this group of people? How are you going to be a missionary to this mission field?

  1. I am working on that through my blog and through another blog I write for called Seeds of Faith. Telling women about Christ through your blog - or simply putting your testimony of faith on your blog is a great way to do this...or I think it is. :-)

  3. I am using my blog as my voice online... my main blog, where I talk about my walk in faith and daily life; and my devotional blog where I share my daily reading (on a weekly basis). I also try to share through social networking also. The internet is a powerful tool, and even more so (I think) when used for His purposes!

  5. Wow - such a tough question! I guess I try to live by example, and share THAT on my blog. That way, my blog can reach non-believers as well as believers, and people can see that God isn't for the few hard-core religious people out there - God is for EVERYONE!

  6. Sharing your faith online is a great place to start. However I sometimes wonder how impactful that is when the relationships aren't there with your readers. In real life, we go to where the people are and share with Christ with them, or we build relationships with friends and neighbors and share Christ with them. I don't think it's much different online. Readers are more likely to listen to you if they have some kind of relationship with you through your blog. And, just like going to where the people are in person, we can visit forums, other blogs, and other communities that are predominantly unreached. Get to know those people and offer them hope in Christ.

Putting your faith on your blog is a GREAT idea! I just think if you are truly wanting to reach people online it may not be enough. If 96% people are not Christians then God may be asking us to do more than build a blog and hope they'll come.

    Just a thought.

  8. I believe showing them that God is in their every day regular life stuff - He can be seen in the laundry - He can be seen in the silly carpool lane at school - He wants to be so much more than words on a page.

My blog is all about bringing God into our everyday life!

I'm sure I've oversimplified your question. I'm in a rare mood tonight!

I love your heart here - I'll keep reading to see what others are saying!

  9. I believe one way to do this is by letting others SEE God working in your life. Today's technology, including Social Media, has added so many more opportunities to do this. From blogging to your status on facebook, we have to make sure others see Jesus in us, in every aspect of our lives. Of course, we also have to be very careful to not post anything that could damage our witness. Building relationships with non-believers, and letting them into our "social media" lives, and then being sure to give God the glory in all things in all ways, including social media, is one way to do this:)
