Hi Ladies, we love hearing your comments and are considering all of those things as we move into our new focus. Keep them coming!! =)
We know that moms are busy so, we want to know how much effort are you willing to put in to make money online and how much money do you need to make in order for the effort to be worthwhile?
$10 per month?
$100 per month?
$1000+ per month?
The reason we are changing directions is because our hearts are to help Christian Moms be able to be home with their kids and earn income.
Well, I guess I am out. I was looking to network with other Christian moms out there, but not interested in doing any business ventures. If anyone would like to keep in touch, please visit my blog and I will be sure to visit yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
~Theresa
Thanks so much for everything! I agree with Theresa (who is a wonderful new "friend" I have met through Allied Moms)! I love to be able to connect with other Christian moms too, but I am not looking to earn any income!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jessica
Well, that isn't exactly why I came here either, but I'll be sticking around. I don't think I'll meet the goals I need to meet in order to stay at home, but I still enjoy reading what is going on here. My husband has set an amount that I would need to consistently be able to make from home to be able to stay home. It is in the $1,000+ range. I just don't see that happening. Don't get me wrong, I know that with God ALL things are possible, but it will take divine intervention! For now, I enjoy a little extra spending money:)
ReplyDeleteI do have some online business goals in the future, but like Theresa, I truly enjoy connecting with other Christian ladies(including Theresa!Lol)
ReplyDeleteMy future business goals consist of finishing some book projects, beginning my business website, and maybe even create some "crafty" products to sell on Etsy.
In the meantime, I will just keep writing on my blogs as the Lord leads and maybe join some affiliate programs as well.
Have a blessed evening!
Wow, I hate to say it, but I'm with the others that said they aren't interested in making an income through their blogging. Someday perhaps through ads. It sounds nice, but I did love that Allied Moms was for ALL Christian mommy bloggers. My personal opinion is some of the blogs where mommy bloggers are trying to make an income, looks like ads threw up all over the page so I don't pay any attention. Would love to know more about how many moms out there really are making a great income from blogging.
ReplyDeleteIts so nice having a central site to meet other Christian mommy bloggers! I hope that keeps up!
Hi Ladies! I feel like you think something is happening here that isn't! This was simply a question so we can give better tips and information to moms who are looking to make some money online. Allied Moms is and always will be a place for Christian Moms to connect! We love you all very much and just want to be a good resource for all moms to come to.

Well... I like that this is a place for Christian moms to connect and I would be sad if people left the site because you guys would talk a little more about generating an income for SAHM's. Maybe you should clarify more what you are doing because it looks like some people aren't going to stick around.
ReplyDeleteI am excited about the changes and can't wait to see what happens!
Oh and to answer the question... about 100+ a month! :)
ReplyDeleteI have an interesting thought on this. Maybe it's just me, but maybe not. Here it goes...
ReplyDeleteI have tried to work from home and stay at home - didn't go so well. I was so frustrated trying to get my work done so I could care for my kids that I started seeing them as a distraction from my other part time at home "job". I felt like I had to choose to either care for my kids, or care for the job. Evenings were taken up after that, so my husband was neglected. Finally, I am now entering into an apprenticeship and year-long training course to certify as a Pilates Teacher. It's one weekend a month (friday-saturday), and the rest of the month I go free to practice what I have learned as I am able to...just like it would be when I used to go to the gynm. After I certify I get $20-$50/hour depending on the type of class I teach. Anyway, I have tried the staying at home 100 percent of the time so I didn't have to go out of the house to work...and it didn't work for me. Plus everyone os trying to make a buck. Why not find something your are passionate about and LOVE doing...and get paid to do it. Not all jobs are like that, but I do think a lot of people get sucked into at home jobs that fail fast or drive their family nutty.
