But I also believe that God gives us deep desires and visions of what we would like to do for him for a reason. I don't think they are just thoughts. He gave us this ability, and I think he delights in using our dreams, even if they need to be redeemed first. That redeeming process is much like the refining of Gold. Burning off the impurities which are the things that we dream to do for selfish reasons, or for our own glory instead of God's. But make no mistake, God intends to do them if he gave them to you.
This reminds me of David, who wanted to build God a temple of Cedar. The Dream was with in him, but it was not for him to fulfill. His son Solomon would have that honor. But David was still credited for the dream and for gathering the materials needed.
"But the LORD said to my father David, 'Because it was in your heart to build a temple for my Name, you did well to have this in your heart." 1Kings 8:18
So my Question of the day is: What is your dream. What is in your heart to do?
Wow, this is such a great reminder, and a breath of fresh air! Thank you for these words of encouragement.
